Thats how long it took before Genzler finally was able to launch the Kinetix, which is really revolutionary, when it comes to CLASS D amps.
And why is this?
Well the KINETIX combines a Tube preamp design, allowing the three 12AX7 tubes, to operate at 300 Plate Volt, which is way higher than you have seen before. Now for most of us, this could mean anything. But running the tubes at a high voltage, enhances the response and the feel of the amp, plus it gives you the warmth you would only find in Vintage amps, yet the response is way faster here. Jeff and his engineer, Scott, had to design an amp with two powersupplies – one feeding the CLASS D output section, and one dedicated to the preamp. You’ve never heard CLASS D like this before, and the result is a Flashback to the old Fenders, Marshalls, Ampegs, etc. weighing in, at only 3.26 Kgs
The KINETIX800 has a very simple control layout, yet still allowing you to dial in all your favourite tones, and more. BASS THE WORLD called it “The Hottest Amp Of The Year” – and we think it still is. Don’t compare this with any “Lightweight amp w/tubes” – this is a different ball game!

- HI MID — +/- 11dB boost/cut at 2.3 KHz
- TREBLE — + / – 16dB Boost/cut shelving curve with a corner frequency of 5KHz
POWER AMP – The KINETIX™ 800 uses a state of the art, class D power amplifier design and a high frequency auto-sensing universal switch-mode power supply (SMPS) to achieve unprecedented high performance and lightweight packaging. The Voltage Selector Switch changes the high-voltage power supply for the preamp tubes.
