Norwegian bluesplayer Arne Skage is at the top of his game, working both as a sideman with legendary Reidar Larsen, as well as being an artist in his own right, with Arne Skage and The Procrastinators. For 30+ years, Skage has been an important part of the Norwegian blues scene, and besides playing he also produces other artists, when not recording his own material.
He has travelled to Louisiana and New Orleans several times, in order to catch the Louisiana vibe and groove that he loves so much, and which reflects in his songwriting. Strongly influenced by Dr John, The Meters, etc., and the unique grooves to be found only in the deep South, Arne Skage has recorded some funky blues tracks, adding his signature slide guitar and vocals on top.
Blues lovers, recognize Skage through extensive touring, playing festivals and bluesclubs in several european countries over a long career span.
At GuitarGandhi, we are pleased to see Arne playing the Nash S-63, that we had the pleasure of shipping to Flekkefjord. We could not wish for a better ambassador in Norway.
