DiMarzio Prewired Harness for Les Paul The heart of this drop-in prewired Les Paul® harness is the custom designed 500K long shaft pot. First introduced over 45 years ago, it’s neither a linear nor audio taper pot -- it's DiMarzio's custom taper. To further increase reliability, DM make the center shaft and threaded parts from solid machined brass instead of cheap castings. The kit includes a Switchcraft® selector switch (with both black and cream tips) and output jack. DiMarzio wiring harnesses are all hand assembled and tested in the USA using lead free silver solder and the best sound-tested parts. DM chose Mod® .022 mf oil filed capacitors for their softer, smoother roll off on the tone controls, and include vintage-style shielded cloth wire. *Please note: these are direct replacements for the standard 3/8-inch (9.525mm) holes found on most Gibson® guitars. Some enlargement may be required for non-standard or import-specific hole diameters. First built over 45 years ago, DM wanted the smooth feel and graduated taper found on some vintage 50s guitars.  It’s neither a linear nor audio taper pot -- it's DiMarzio's custom taper. To further increase reliability, the center shaft and threaded parts are made from solid machined brass instead of cheap castings. This kit also features a premium 5-way CRL-style switch and Switchcraft output jack, as well as both black and white switch tips. DiMarzio wiring harnesses are all hand assembled and tested in the USA, using the best sound-tested parts available from Switchcraft®, Sprague®, and CTS®, and include vintage-style cloth wire. *Please note: these are direct replacements for the standard 3/8-inch (9.525mm) holes found on most Fender® guitars.
