• Magnet: Alnico V Color: White DC Resistance: 6.5K Position: Middle (Reverse Wound/Polarity) The V63+ started with John’s V63 design and he overwound it, creating a hotter pickup with more output and incredibly rich tone. Previously referred to as the ‘ML’ (Mike Landau), we’ve updated the name to help players better understand the tonal response and sound. The V63+ pickups offer a balance of tight lows, focused midrange and smooth top-end sparkle. V63+ pickups incorporate a modified staggered pole piece design to provide an even magnetic field needed to accommodate instruments with flatter neck radiuses and today’s string gauges.

Di Marzio Prewired Stratocaster Harness The heart of this drop-in prewired Strat® harness is the custom designed 250K pot. First built over 45 years ago, DM wanted the smooth feel and graduated taper found on some vintage 50s guitars.  It’s neither a linear nor audio taper pot -- it's DiMarzio's custom taper. To further increase reliability, the center shaft and threaded parts are made from solid machined brass instead of cheap castings. This kit also features a premium 5-way CRL-style switch and Switchcraft output jack, as well as both black and white switch tips. DiMarzio wiring harnesses are all hand assembled and tested in the USA, using the best sound-tested parts available from Switchcraft®, Sprague®, and CTS®, and include vintage-style cloth wire. *Please note: these are direct replacements for the standard 3/8-inch (9.525mm) holes found on most Fender® guitars. Some enlargement may be required for non-standard or import-specific hole diameters.

Transition Neck & Bridge Model pickups were designed for Steve Lukather and Luke's LIII™ Music Man guitar. The pickups are named after Steve’s album, Transition (release date January 21, 2013). Lukather played the LIII™ guitar with Transition™ pickups throughout the whole record. The passive Transition™ humbuckers are both subtle and tough. They have power and they have depth. Steve says they’re organic, and they allow him to own his sound. “These days I like it simple and direct,” he shares. The Transition™ Neck Model performs like a vintage humbucker with a bad attitude. The legendary pickup that put high-output ceramic humbuckers on the map, now available with a vintage PAF® look, without the adjustable Pole pieces. This design blends in with classic pickup designs. The Super Distortion® started a sound revolution. Replacement pickups simply didn’t exist before the invention of the Super Distortion® in the early Seventies. The Super Distortion® (and its original 3-conductor version, the Dual Sound®) was the first pickup specifically designed to kick a tube amp into total overdrive, and is still the standard by which all other high-output pickups are measured. The Super Distortion® has a perfect blend of power and tone: both single-notes and chords jump out of the amp and fill the room (or the track) with a wall of sound. The balance of tones is classic — thick, boosted mids, big lows and fat highs. This is the sound you’ve heard for five decades on platinum records, from players as varied as Ace Frehley, Al Di Meola, Phil Collen, Tom Scholz, and Paul Gilbert. It’s also versatile: 4-conductor wiring allows instant access to Strat®-like split and series-parallel modes. Discover what thousands of great players know: the Super Distortion® is the best all ’round high-power pickup ever made. See more: https://www.dimarzio.com/pickups/high-power/super-paf-ceramic

Here are the characteristics that make a great vintage humbucker: a soft magnetic field, sweet tone, perfect balance between warmth and clarity, the ability to go from clean to distorted by pick attack alone. For our PAF® 36th Anniversary Bridge we wanted to continue in the path of pioneers such as Seth Lover (designer of the original Patent Applied For humbucker) and create pickups that combine all of the characteristics of great vintage humbuckers. These pickups are not merely clones. We re-engineered the PAF® using our patented technology and Larry DiMarzio’s own 1959 cherry sunburst Gibson® Les Paul® as the reference. Larry’s Gibson® Les Paul® has a uniquely amazing sound and it’s not only due to the pickups — it’s the total fusion of many elements of the guitar itself. Although the pickups have a weak magnetic field, the sound is well defined — almost like a single-coil. We duplicated the weaker magnetic field in order to allow the strings to vibrate longer, as well as focus and articulate the attack and output. We use computer-controlled winders to consistently layer the 42-gauge custom-coated wire, achieving the exact frequency response we want. Then it’s dipped in our custom formula to eliminate squeal and microphonics. The cover is made from nickel-silver and our new plating makes it more magnetically transparent than the originals. The PAF® 36th Anniversary Neck is smooth but not muddy. It performs equally well in the neck or bridge, just as the best humbuckers from the 50s did. The PAF® 36th Anniversary Bridge is hotter than the Neck. It is not only for set neck 24¾” scale guitars, but it’s also an excellent bridge pickup for trem-equipped bolt-ons. We’ll build the PAF® 36th Anniversary any way you want it. Choose the bobbin style — vintage glossy or modern matte, the type of base — traditional, long-legged or standard, short-legged, and the type of cable — vintage single-conductor or 4-conductor. The PAF® 36th Anniversary Bridge is available uncovered, and we also offer three types of covers — standard polished and plated, buffed with no plating, and our vintage worn cover that looks so authentic and broken in that you’ll swear it’s been hanging around since 1959. • The Muscle T™ Neck retains all the dynamic response of a good early sixties Tele® pickup but adds more of the glassy sparkle that Tele® neck pickups always lacked. Our Muscle T™ Neck has been carefully calibrated with more volume and presence to keep up with the needs of modern players, and the overall musical character delivers a better string-to-string balance for rhythms that cut and precise soloing. Each pickup is individually hand-wound and tested in our New York City factory. https://www.dimarzio.com/pickups/standard-tele/muscle-t-neck

We believe the Area 58™ and Area 61™ are a major step forward in the performance of hum-canceling Strat® replacement pickups. The new technology that went into these models has allowed us to make a similar advance with Telecaster® replacement pickups. The Area T™ Neck has the combination of clarity and warmth that Telecaster® players have always sought, and the new technology allows us to include a vintage Tele® cover with no sacrifice in sound quality or power. • The Monterey Pop Festival of 1967 was a watershed event in American music. When it was over, the world had heard and felt the sound of a Strat® in the hands of a master. Single-coils in 1967 were bright and very clean. And, of course, they hummed. We've captured the classic bright and clean sound but totally eliminated the hum with our patented Area™ technology. We've also reduced magnet pull by 40% for improved sustain and clarity. The Area 67™ has the chime of 60s pickups, and the 2 and 4 positions are light, bright and quack-happy.

  • DiMarzio® has been working on serious vintage single-coil design with no hum for twelve years. Our goal has always been to capture the best qualities of pickups we heard from the 1950s and early 60s. We’ve played several pickups from the early 60s that had a unique tonality: they were steely, yet woody-sounding. Naturally, we wanted to nail this sound, and we wanted to do it with no hum and less magnet-pull. The Area 61™ does it. It’s good in all three positions. It’s the perfect bridge pickup with a pair of Area 58™ pickups if you want to go all the way from Nashville to Texas in one guitar.

  • There are two major differences between a great vintage Strat® pickup and an average one: treble response and dynamics. A great pickup is clear and bright, but not thin-sounding. A great one makes the sound jump out of the amp when you pick hard and drop way down when you play softly, and the tone varies when the string is picked at different spots. The best pickup we’ve ever heard like this was from 1958, and that’s what inspired the Area 58™, with two major differences. Our pickup has way less magnet pull, and virtually no hum.
  • The Virtual Vintage® 54 Pro uses the same groundbreaking technology as our Area 58™ and Area 61™ pickups. The Virtual Vintage® 54 Pro replaces the Virtual Vintage® 54 and VirtuAL 2® middle pickups. It has a warm, smoky sound, fattens up when you pick hard, and has a special grade of Alnico 2 magnet to reduce string pull. Like all of the Virtual Vintage® models, it’s dead quiet.

We’ll build the PAF® 36th Anniversary any way you want it. Choose the bobbin style — vintage glossy or modern matte, the type of base — traditional, long-legged or standard, short-legged, and the type of cable — vintage single-conductor or 4-conductor. The PAF® 36th Anniversary Neck is available uncovered, and we also offer three types of covers: standard polished and plated, buffed with no plating, and our vintage worn cover that looks so authentic and broken in that you’ll swear it’s been hanging around since 1959. The Tone Zone® is one of the most popular models. It is hot enough to qualify as a high-output pickup, but it has a wider dynamic range — hard picking will produce a lot of power, and softer picking will be much cleaner and quieter. It’s got tremendous bass and low-mid response to reinforce the bottom end and make the overall sound bigger. The highest single notes have depth, and chords sound huge. Patented dual-resonance coils reproduce more overtones than you’d expect from such a fat-sounding pickup. It makes a great match with an Air Norton™PAF Joe™, or PAF Pro®, and split-coil mode produces an excellent single-coil sound as well. All DiMarzio humbuckers are standard F- spaced, unless noted otherwise. F-Spacing covers most modern guitars. If you want the older Gibson spacing, pls send us an email at: sales@guitargandhi.com We carry all humbuckers in Black, with Nickel Polepieces, unless noted otherwise. Choose from additional colours or covers, and polepieces here. Go to www.dimarzio.com for available options on any specific pickup. You can add any colour to your order. All colour changes are 90+ days. We might have certain variations in stock, so please check our website. https://www.dimarzio.com/pickups/high-power/tone-zone?v=21099
  • Magnet: Alnico V Color: White DC Resistance: 6.5K Position: Neck The V63+ started with John’s V63 design and he overwound it, creating a hotter pickup with more output and incredibly rich tone.

  • Magnet: Alnico V Color: Parchment Position: Neck DC Resistance: 6.3K The V60 and V60LP pickups faithfully recreate the classic single-coil sounds of the 60’s. These pickups use the same magnets that were used in the pickups made during this era. What you get are clear bell-like highs, warm and punchy mids, and big yet firm lows that are the hallmark of great vintage pickups. The pickups are wound using a proprietary winding process that replicates the hand-wound pattern of some early-60’s single-coil pickups which have a natural roll off on the top end, imparting sweeter and rounder highs.

  • Magnet: Alnico V Spacing: 53mm Fits most guitars (F) Color: Raw Nickel DC Resistance: 17.5K Position: Bridge It’s big sounding yet focused and punchy in the mids and tight in the lows. You will never hear this pickup get flubby and undefined in the highest gain settings. The high-mids will cut through like the sharpest knife but the treble will be sweet and never grating on the ears. From chunky low-string metal riffing to screaming string bends in the high register, the Aldrich bridge humbucker covers them all while retaining the dynamics of your picking attack. The Doug Aldrich Neck humbucker is the perfect complement to the Aldrich bridge pickup. Carefully calibrated for the neck position, the Aldrich neck pickup is warm, clear with exceptional string-to-string balance. This is our highest output neck humbucker pickup but it never gets muddy or undefined.
