• Magnet: Alnico V Spacing: 53mm Fits most guitars (F) Color: Black DC Resistance: 17.5K Position: Bridge It’s big sounding yet focused and punchy in the mids and tight in the lows. You will never hear this pickup get flubby and undefined in the highest gain settings. The high-mids will cut through like the sharpest knife but the treble will be sweet and never grating on the ears. From chunky low-string metal riffing to screaming string bends in the high register, the Aldrich bridge humbucker covers them all while retaining the dynamics of your picking attack. The Doug Aldrich Neck humbucker is the perfect complement to the Aldrich bridge pickup. Carefully calibrated for the neck position, the Aldrich neck pickup is warm, clear with exceptional string-to-string balance. This is our highest output neck humbucker pickup but it never gets muddy or undefined.

  • The DiMarzio Wiring 4-Way Harness prewired drop-in Tele® control plate, makes upgrading your guitar a lot easier. It all starts with the choice of a .022 Sprague orange drop capacitor added to a pair of DiMarzio-designed custom taper pots. This assembly makes upgrading your Tele® seamless and requires minimal soldering. All is mounted on a Tele control plate, and ready to go. This Harness gives you an extra position, with the Neck and Bridge pickups wired in Series, adding a humbuckermfeature with more output. Great for soloing, or a fatter clean tone. Pos. 1 Neck Pos. 2 Neck/Bridge in Series Pos. 3 Neck/Bridge Parallel Pos. 4 Bridge DiMarzio pots were first built over 45 years ago, and DM wanted them to have the smooth feel and graduated taper found on some vintage 50s guitars. Using a 10-step rotary switch, DiMarzio created a taper that works with DiMarzio pickups. It’s neither a linear nor audio taper pot -- it's DiMarzio's custom taper. To further increase reliability, the center shaft and threaded parts are made from solid machined brass instead of cheap castings. We’ve sound tested dozens of capacitors from various suppliers, too, and our winner is clear: the Sprague. All wiring is done with cloth-covered vintage style 22-gauge push back wire, making all the final connections easier. DiMarzio prewired circuits are all hand assembled and tested in the USA, and each one features the best sound-tested parts available.

DiMarzio Twang King Prewired Tele Kit This pre-wired, drop-in pickup assembly for Tele® includes a Twang King™ Bridge, a Twang King™ Neck pickup, control plate, knobs and a complete wiring harness featuring solderless installation. The Twang King™ pickups are a result of our pursuit for the best elements in a classic Broadcaster® and Telecaster® sound, and then some. The Twang King™ Bridge and Neck pickups have unequaled response to pick attack: light playing produces a soft, quiet tone while hard picking creates a harder, louder more dynamic sound than any comparable single-coil. We accomplished this with a combination of controlled-tension coil-winding, special wire and hand-calibrated magnets. We wax-pot these pickups twice for squeal-free performance. The Twang Kings™ produce big, clean lows and highs, yet are able to handle a very wide dynamic range so the sound cleans up with soft picking yet really opens up with harder pick attack. DiMarzio Area Prewired Tele Kit The Area Tele pickups are among he very best T pickups available in the market. The Area T™ Pre-wired Pickup Set for Tele® includes the Area T™ Neck and Area T™ Bridge pickups, control plate, knobs, and complete wiring harness featuring solderless installation. The Area T™ Bridge does what a great Tele® bridge pickup is supposed to do: the highs sing, the lows snap and the mids have a punch that's almost unreal. It tracks changes in pick attack and volume, and it does so instantly. It's also very sensitive to string distance. The volume is very high when the pickup is close to the strings, but can be adjusted much lower by backing the Area T™ away from the strings. String pull is not a problem with the Alnico 2 magnets that are standard on the Area T™ Bridge. The Area T™ Neck has the combination of clarity and warmth that Tele® players have always sought, and our patented design allows us to utilize a vintage Tele® cover with no sacrifice in sound. The contrast between a warm neck pickup tone and a biting bridge pickup sound is a Tele® hallmark, but it's hard to achieve if the neck pickup is muddy. The Area T™ Neck model has a very smooth tone, but its ability to remain clear even with heavy overdrive is an essential quality of the Area™ design Component List: DIMARZIO CUSTOM TAPER POTENTIOMETERS - 250K SPRAGUE ORANGE DROP CAPACITOR - .022UF, 100VOLT GAVITT VINTAGE HOOKUP WIRE - 22 GAUGE CRL THREE-WAY SWITCH DP418 (Area T) Bridge DP417C (Area T) Neck

DiMarzio Area Prewired Pickguard. The Area™ Strat® Replacement Pickguard offers a buffet of vintage tones, and a great mix of models, each dedicated to their position. The Area pickguard features solderless connectors for easy installation in any guitar with a standard 11-hole pickguard. The pickup configuration for the Area™ Pickguard is an Area 58™ neck / Area 67™ middle / Area 61™ bridge combination for great vintage sounds with no hum. The Area ‘58™ offers excellent treble response and dynamics with low magnet-pull and the warm, woody tone of late-50s single-coils. In the middle position, the Area ‘67™ pushes sounds like the single-coil pickups of the late ‘60s—bright and very clean, with reduced magnet pull for improved sustain, clarity, and enhanced quack in the 2 and 4 positions. Finally, the Area ‘61™ in the bridge position brings a steely but warm sound to the table. As with the other two pickups, the Area ‘61™ eliminates hum and features reduced magnet pull. Combined in the Area™ Strat Replacement Pickguard, these 3 pickups create a unique and undeniably vintage tone. DiMarzio HS Prewired Pickguard. If you are looking for that 70's tone, the HS pickups will take you there. These Hum free pickups were made famous by Malmsteen and others, looking for the classic sound of the 70's (think Blackmore i.e.) But any Stratplayer looking for a great fat and distinct sound, will love these. We think the DiMarzio idea of having everything pre assembled, is fantastic. You can easily update your guitar with not only pickups, but also great electronics, as DM make the best pots around, and use quality switches, jacks and wire. It also makes things easy, when building a new guitar. The HS™ Strat® Replacement Pickguard features solderless connectors for easy installation in any guitar with a standard 11-hole pickguard. The pickup configuration is an HS-4™ in the neck and middle positions and an HS-3™ in the bridge. The HS-4™ pickups provide plenty of presence and brilliance, particularly on the high strings, with no 60-cycle hum. The HS-3™ is very similar to the HS-4™, with a symmetrical magnet stagger that helps to produce a sweet overdrive tone and no jagged edges. These qualities combine perfectly with a heavily distorted amp because they don’t get muddy or messy. Great for classical 70's tones. HS-4 The HS-4™ is the vintage magnet-stagger version of the HS-3™. While there is obviously a strong resemblance to the HS-3™, the vintage stagger recreates the string-balance of single-coils from the 50s, producing a unique sound in the neck and middle positions with both chords and single-note soloing. And there’s no 60-cycle hum. HS3 The HS-3™ has been the weapon of choice for Strat®-powered classical metal since the early 1980s. Far from being a high-output monster, the HS-3™ is actually a smooth and relatively quiet pickup that produces a sweet overdrive tone without jagged edges. These qualities combine perfectly with a heavily distorted amp, because the sound won’t get muddy or messy. The HS-3™ is also versatile — it’s a noise-free pickup in a live situation or in the studio. DiMarzio Prewired Harness for Les Paul The heart of this drop-in prewired Les Paul® harness is the custom designed 500K long shaft pot. First introduced over 45 years ago, it’s neither a linear nor audio taper pot -- it's DiMarzio's custom taper. To further increase reliability, DM make the center shaft and threaded parts from solid machined brass instead of cheap castings. The kit includes a Switchcraft® selector switch (with both black and cream tips) and output jack. DiMarzio wiring harnesses are all hand assembled and tested in the USA using lead free silver solder and the best sound-tested parts. DM chose Mod® .022 mf oil filed capacitors for their softer, smoother roll off on the tone controls, and include vintage-style shielded cloth wire. *Please note: these are direct replacements for the standard 3/8-inch (9.525mm) holes found on most Gibson® guitars. Some enlargement may be required for non-standard or import-specific hole diameters. Gibson and Les Paul are registered trademarks of Gibson Brands, Inc., with which DiMarzio, Inc. is not affiliated.

Vintage minibuckers were known for being quiet and clean sounding, but they also had a tendency to “stay in the speaker cabinet” and not offer a great deal of clarity. Prepare to be surprised. The DiMarzio Vintage Minibucker™ sound is all about clarity, dynamics, and lots of sparkle. In a word, the DiMarzio Vintage Minibucker™ has chime. It excels at clean, country sounds, but it also shines with extreme levels of amp gain because it doesn't get muddy with a distorted amp. When we decided to go for the vintage Tele® sound, we knew we had to do more than just copy a vintage design. We wanted pickups that captured the best elements of our favorite Broadcaster® and Telecaster® sounds – and then some. The Twang King™ pickups have unequalled response to pick attack: light playing produces a soft, quiet tone and hard picking creates a harder, louder, and more dynamic sound than any comparable single-coil. We accomplished this with a combination of controlled-tension coil-winding, special wire, and hand-calibrated magnets. The neck pickup comes with a chrome cover, and the bridge model has a ferrous base plate. Both pickups are wax-potted twice for squeal-free performance. • The Fast Track T™ is hotter than most single-coil Tele® bridge pickups, but it has way more twang and snap than a humbucking pickup ought to have. We pulled this trick off by combining patented dual-resonance coils (less DC resistance than a standard Tele® single-coil) with twin-blade poles for less string-pull than standard rod magnets. It all means more sustain, cleaner highs and tighter bass. It may not look like a traditional Tele® bridge pickup, but if outstanding hum-free performance is the goal, the Fast Track T™ is a clear winner. What would a Tele® bridge pickup sound like if it had the same EQ as a vintage PAF®? If you’re a Tele® player and you think this is an interesting question, we have the answer: it’s the Area Hot T™ Bridge. Because it has the classic Tele® 6-magnet configuration, it’s not simply a PAF® reduced to Tele® size. The sound is more detailed and controlled. The plain strings both sing and sting, and the wound strings have a dynamic quality that’s halfway between a humbucker and a P90. The Area Hot T™ Bridge uses Alnico 2 magnets like our other Area™ models, and works well with either 250K or 500K controls.
  • We believe the Area 58™ and Area 61™ are a major step forward in the performance of hum-canceling Strat® replacement pickups. The research and technology that went into these models has allowed us to make a similar advance with Telecaster® replacement pickups. The Area T™ Bridge does what a great Tele® bridge pickup is supposed to do: the highs sing, the lows snap, and the mids have a punch that’s almost unreal. https://www.dimarzio.com/pickups/stacked-hum-canceling-tele/area-t-bridge

  • What do you need in order to play blues with a Strat®? The Virtual Vintage® Blues has more power and warmth than a typical single-coil. You can really hear these qualities when you’re playing the Virtual Vintage® Blues. It withstands hard picking and opens up when you’re playing with an overdriven amp. Instead of shrinking away, the sound jumps out of the speakers. These qualities are really useful for getting a fat neck position sound, but they’re outstanding for the bridge position — particularly if you have a thin-sounding guitar or use light gauge strings. It’s a tough sounding bridge pickup with warmer guitars, and makes a good neck and middle choice to match with a full-size bridge humbucker. As the rest of the Virtual Vintage® family, it’s dead quiet; there’s practically no hum at all.
  • If you’ve heard the cliché that Alnico 2 means warm, soft sound, prepare to be surprised. This is not a polite pickup, and the closer it’s adjusted to the strings, the more raw it gets. In particular, the Alnico 2 magnetic field opens up all of the attack and definition of the low strings. It’s a hot pickup with a strong attack in the bridge position, and its Alnico 2 magnets allow it to work very well in the neck position as well, for players who want a very warm, round sound. If you want an in-your-face-and-proud-of-it sound, the Virtual Vintage® Heavy Blues 2 is the top pick.

We've combined the best qualities of the Virtual Vintage® Solo and Virtual Vintage® Solo Pro™ — high output and a full, warm sound — and pushed these qualities even further. Treble response is smoother, the lows are tighter, and there is more pick attack. Play hard, and the sound jumps out of the amp. Play softer, and the sound becomes cleaner and quieter. Naturally, there's no hum. See more: https://www.dimarzio.com/pickups/stacked-hum-canceling-strat/virtual-solo
  • The Virtual Vintage® 54 Pro uses the same groundbreaking technology as our Area 58™ and Area 61™ pickups. The Virtual Vintage® 54 Pro replaces the Virtual Vintage® 54 and VirtuAL 2® middle pickups. It has a warm, smoky sound, fattens up when you pick hard, and has a special grade of Alnico 2 magnet to reduce string pull. Like all of the Virtual Vintage® models, it’s dead quiet.
  • The Monterey Pop Festival of 1967 was a watershed event in American music. When it was over, the world had heard and felt the sound of a Strat® in the hands of a master. Single-coils in 1967 were bright and very clean. And, of course, they hummed. We've captured the classic bright and clean sound but totally eliminated the hum with our patented Area™ technology. We've also reduced magnet pull by 40% for improved sustain and clarity. The Area 67™ has the chime of 60s pickups, and the 2 and 4 positions are light, bright and quack-happy.
  • There are two major differences between a great vintage Strat® pickup and an average one: treble response and dynamics. A great pickup is clear and bright, but not thin-sounding. A great one makes the sound jump out of the amp when you pick hard and drop way down when you play softly, and the tone varies when the string is picked at different spots. The best pickup we’ve ever heard like this was from 1958, and that’s what inspired the Area 58™, with two major differences. Our pickup has way less magnet pull, and virtually no hum.
  • DiMarzio® has been working on serious vintage single-coil design with no hum for twelve years. Our goal has always been to capture the best qualities of pickups we heard from the 1950s and early 60s. We’ve played several pickups from the early 60s that had a unique tonality: they were steely, yet woody-sounding. Naturally, we wanted to nail this sound, and we wanted to do it with no hum and less magnet-pull. The Area 61™ does it. It’s good in all three positions. It’s the perfect bridge pickup with a pair of Area 58™ pickups if you want to go all the way from Nashville to Texas in one guitar.

We don’t have to convince you that vintage P90 pickups are special. You already love their thick mid-range grittiness and growl, their creamy single-notes, and their harmonic bloom. The only drawback has been that P90s are noisy. DiMarzio’s challenge was to create a hum-canceling pickup that fit into a P90 cover yet retained the classic nuance, sound, and appearance of a Fifties P90. Our patent-pending design breaks new ground in guitar pickup development, and uses four coils to give you a P90 without the hum. So go ahead and crank up your amp without fear of the hum.

The Tone Zone® is one of the most popular models. It is hot enough to qualify as a high-output pickup, but it has a wider dynamic range — hard picking will produce a lot of power, and softer picking will be much cleaner and quieter. It’s got tremendous bass and low-mid response to reinforce the bottom end and make the overall sound bigger. The highest single notes have depth, and chords sound huge. Patented dual-resonance coils reproduce more overtones than you’d expect from such a fat-sounding pickup. It makes a great match with an Air Norton™PAF Joe™, or PAF Pro®, and split-coil mode produces an excellent single-coil sound as well. All DiMarzio humbuckers are standard F- spaced, unless noted otherwise. F-Spacing covers most modern guitars. If you want the older Gibson spacing, pls send us an email at: sales@guitargandhi.com We carry all humbuckers in Black, with Nickel Polepieces, unless noted otherwise. Transition Neck & Bridge Model pickups were designed for Steve Lukather and Luke's LIII™ Music Man guitar. The pickups are named after Steve’s album, Transition (release date January 21, 2013). Lukather played the LIII™ guitar with Transition™ pickups throughout the whole record. The passive Transition™ humbuckers are both subtle and tough. They have power and they have depth. Steve says they’re organic, and they allow him to own his sound. “These days I like it simple and direct,” he shares. The Transition™ Neck Model performs like a vintage humbucker with a bad attitude. It has punch and edge, and it’s fast. See more: https://www.dimarzio.com/pickups/high-power/transition-bridge

Here are the characteristics that make a great vintage humbucker: a soft magnetic field, sweet tone, perfect balance between warmth and clarity, the ability to go from clean to distorted by pick attack alone. For our PAF® 36th Anniversary Neck we wanted to continue in the path of pioneers such as Seth Lover (designer of the original Patent Applied For humbucker) and create pickups that combine all of the characteristics of great vintage humbuckers. These pickups are not merely clones. We re-engineered the PAF® using our patented technology and Larry DiMarzio’s own 1959 cherry sunburst Gibson® Les Paul® as the reference. Larry’s Gibson® Les Paul® has a uniquely amazing sound and it’s not only due to the pickups — it’s the total fusion of many elements of the guitar itself. Although the pickups have a weak magnetic field, the sound is well defined: almost like a single-coil. We duplicated the weaker magnetic field in order to allow the strings to vibrate longer, as well as focus and articulate the attack and output. We use computer-controlled winders to consistently layer the 42-gauge custom-coated wire, achieving the exact frequency response we want. Then it’s dipped in our custom formula to eliminate squeal and microphonics. The cover is made from nickel-silver and our new plating makes it more magnetically transparent than the originals. The PAF® 36th Anniversary Neck is smooth but not muddy. It performs equally well in the neck or bridge, just as the best humbuckers from the 50s did. We’ll build the PAF® 36th Anniversary any way you want it. Choose the bobbin style — vintage glossy or modern matte, the type of base — traditional, long-legged or standard, short-legged, and the type of cable — vintage single-conductor or 4-conductor. The PAF® 36th Anniversary Neck is available uncovered, and we also offer three types of covers: standard polished and plated, buffed with no plating, and our vintage worn cover that looks so authentic and broken in that you’ll swear it’s been hanging around since 1959. The PAF® 36th Anniversary Bridge is hotter than the Neck. It is not only for set neck 24¾” scale guitars, but it’s also an excellent bridge pickup for trem-equipped bolt-ons. We’ll build the PAF® 36th Anniversary any way you want it. Choose the bobbin style — vintage glossy or modern matte, the type of base — traditional, long-legged or standard, short-legged, and the type of cable — vintage single-conductor or 4-conductor. The PAF® 36th Anniversary Bridge is available uncovered, and we also offer three types of covers — standard polished and plated, buffed with no plating, and our vintage worn cover that looks so authentic and broken in that you’ll swear it’s been hanging around since 1959. These days, it seems as if everyone's looking for the legendary sound and dynamics of the original “Patent Applied For” pickups. Utilizing Larry DiMarzio's 1959 Cherry Sunburst Les Paul® for reference, DiMarzio used the same materials as 1959, gifted ears, and decades of winding experience to create the new PAF® 59 pickups. Larry says the PAF® 59 Neck and Bridge models were built following an “old family recipe.” We started with a 2-½-inch degaussed Alnico 5 magnet. The 42 AWG enamel wire coils are un-dipped and scatter wound. They're tuned to capture the guitar's voice and dynamics without coloring it.The PAF® 59 Neck and Bridge models feature Double Cream™ butyrate bobbins on our long-leg nickel/silver base plate just like the originals. They are also available with black or black & cream butyrate bobbins. All materials are made in the U.S.A. to the tolerances of the best of the 1959 pickups. The PAF® 59 Neck and Bridge models have the open dynamics, bright attack, smooth midrange, and rich bottom end, along with the creamy distortion of the original “Patent Applied For” pickups. The PAF® 59 Neck model is very responsive, and harmonics leap out. Combined with the PAF® 59 Bridge model, it's got that smooth, overdriven, classic arena rock sound.

The Gravity Storm™ Neck & Bridge Model pickups were designed for Steve Vai, and are the next step in his pickup evolution. The pickups are named after a song on his album, Steve Vai: The Story of Light. Steve described the sound he wanted from his new Gravity Storm™ Bridge Model pickup as “a thundering cloud of ice cream”. He didn’t say what flavor he likes, but this one has both bite and sweetness. See more: https://www.dimarzio.com/pickups/medium-power/gravity-storm-bridge?v=26359
